Hello everyone,
Just a friendly reminder that Orange Shirt Day is tomorrow. We discussed why we have Orange Shirt Day today, and will continue to do more work around this tomorrow. If you have an orange article of clothing for your child to wear, please have them wear it tomorrow! I will have orange bands for the kids to wear around their wrist if they do not have any orange clothing.
We will be participating in a smudge ceremony tomorrow morning with a special guest, Preston Huppie. Today, we discussed what a smudge ceremony is and what we will be doing. We also wrote some positive intentions for our school year and put them together in an offering that we will give to Mr. Huppie during the ceremony. Ask us to show you how to smudge this evening!
There is no school on Thursday, Sept. 30th to observe the Day of Truth and Reconciliation.
